Council President Betsy Koch is serving her seventh year in the Fair Haven Borough Council and will be seeking reelection in November.
Betsy and her husband Jerome raised four children here in Fair Haven, all of whom attended local schools. A retired teacher, Betsy taught science for 23 years at Knollwood Middle School. When Betsy isn’t volunteering, you can find her with her grandchildren, or enjoying a round of golf with friends.
Betsy has served as a leader on multiple boards and committees, including Planning, Zoning Boards, Parks and Recreation, Personnel, Fair Share Housing, Navesink River Municipalities Committee and our cross-acceptance team for the state
Master Plan.
In addition to these important roles, Betsy is a longtime supporter of many Fair Haven traditions such as the Wall of Honor which pays tribute to those Knollwood graduates who serve our country and a founding member of The Foundation of Fair Haven.
